Guide

How to choose a summer intensive

A well-known name is the start of the decision, not the end of it. Look at how many hours a day your dancer will spend in technique, whether the faculty are the school's own year-round teachers, how dancers are placed by level, and what a residential week costs once tuition is added to room and board. A shorter, closer program with strong faculty can do more for a young dancer than a famous one spent at the back of a crowded room.
